This house was projected on a flat site of 880 m2, in a new subdivision in the valley of La Dehesa. The orientation of the field allowed a simple plan with a main two-storey height volume crossed through the lot, in a regular way. Like a box, closed to the street and opened to the garden, to the view to mountain range and to the orientation to the Sun of the North-East, which contains the living rooms, a covered terrace, dining room, the desk and the bedrooms.
The stairs and the children’s restrooms and visitors’ quarters are enclosed in an attached body on the west side, irregularly shaped like a rock raised above the water mirror in the open access courtyard to the street. The kitchen, utility rooms and garage were placed in a low volume, one storey, with access to vehicles from the street, the possibility of building parking in the front garden.
The order requested a program of enclosures with the living room, the dining room, the service, the master bedroom and a living room with TV located on the first floor, and on the second floor the children’s bedrooms to leave them in a more sheltered location. It was also requested a desk on the second floor, to enjoy the distant views, but apart and removed from the children’s areas. This desk is accessed from a corridor / bookcase displayed in a balcony on the terrace and living room that remain double height to the center of the main volume.
The work was projected entirely in pigmented concrete to the sight, executed with white cement of Mexican origin.
